LJA GIS District Web Services

In 2019, we launched the LJA branded GIS application, LJA GIS District Web Services focused specifically on utility management for Municipal Utility and Special Districts. The application is dedicated to operators, engineers, legal, board members, and other district consultants focusing on district operations and information exchange.

LUKE® Applications

In 2017, LJA created LUKE Applications, LLC, a subsidiary of LJA. Early in LUKE® Applications’ formation we launched the first of its kind 311 system simply named LUKE®. LUKE® Let Us Know Everything, provides dispatch services streamlining general public concerns by closing the gap between citizen observation and entity responsibility. Simply put, the citizen reports, we determine the appropriate entity, then dispatch the concern and manage the process.

With the early success of LUKE ®, we developed the release of Work with LUKE® in 2021. Work with LUKE ® is a full work order application dedicated to District, Community, City and County Operations. Complete with teams, personnel, and customizable categories, user Operations can create, manage, and log work orders, and report on maintained assets.

This web-based GIS technology supports stormwater compliance needs whether in the field or in the office. LJA’s GIS District Web Services

LJA’s “GIS District Web Services” provides a simple and single location to access utilities, design documents, construction plans, easements, mowing schedules, and other project or construction information.

Designed to ease the sharing of such information across the spectrum of consulting services, the data is suggested to be made available to the development’s or district’s Engineer, Attorney, Operator and Maintenance services.

Our GIS District Web Services provides a simple interface for our users to navigate through their development, view project activities and become involved in their mapped infrastructure.  Our users can view and download documents directly from the web-based map or use our list tools to easily move from one project section to the next.

Full services are web based and available in field and in the office.

Network Migration Services

There is a very stark difference between a Geometric Network (GN) and a Utility Network (UN). 

If your organization is making the move to migrate to a Utility Network and take advantage of the great features that the full environment can provide, be sure to take the extra time preparing your data for this move.

It is best to first address data health and completeness, making these changes in its source environment (GN) and not carry over errors, duplicates or interrupted connectivity into the target environment (UN). It is in your best interest to bring in the cleanest version of your source data.

The utility network data model is designed to be highly scalable by limiting the number of base feature classes and incorporating a rich classification system that is built into the schema of each feature class.

It’s is the easiest experience you will ever have reporting that pothole, streetlight or abandoned couch.
